We Have Some Great
Summer Activities Planned
Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp is a
program for Elementary School and Middle School youth. Each week has a different theme, for example:
Blast from the Past, Trek to Mount Olympus, Out to Sea, Around the World in 5 Days, A Pirate's Life for Me,
Wild Wild West, and Green Thumbs in the Garden.
My Camp!
My Camp is a
summer program for Middle School youth. It has the same cost and hours as our Summer Camp. And it shares
some of the same activities and field trips. But many of the activities are geared especially to Middle
School youths. They are placed in groups with other Middle School kids, and help choose the activities
according to their interests.
Summer Clubhouse
During summer, the
Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis will open its doors to all members for no
additional charge. The Club is generally open from 1pm – 6pm, Monday through Friday.
Memberships can be obtained at our office.
Our summer programs include: SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance
Training), NetSmartz, Digital Photography Club, DJ Lab, Audio Mixing
Club, and Speed Stacks Club.
Art Programs
Our Art Center has a
different arts and crafts class planned for each week during the summer. There
is usually a cost of $5 - $10 per child, per class.
Subjects include: Painting, Scrapbooking, Drawing, Beading, Sewing, Ceramics,
and Watercolors. Summer art classes are over for 2009, but we'll offer them
again during Summer 2010.
Safety Town
Safety Town is a safety education program
for children entering Kindergarten. Under the guidance of a teacher and teen instructors,
children are taught safety concepts. They practice being safe pedestrians and drivers of
pedal cars in our miniature town. This is combined with songs, art projects, safety videos,
and bus field trips.
